Friendly 'Hello' Ends with Broken Sink
If this man would have just done his business and gotten out of the bathroom, it would have saved him from the fine.
It must have been a lonely trip in the bathroom for this man, who walked away with a citation simply because he said, "hello."
The 28-year-old Belgium man was in the bathroom at Patio Bar & Grill, 601 N. Wisconsin St., Port, at 9:29 p.m. July 22, when we leaned on the sink attempting to say "hi" through a window to friends on the patio, according to police reports.
The maneuver caused the sink to break.

The bartender called police, who subsequently cited the man for damage to private property.
