No Leads on Missing Ozaukee County Man

Ozaukee County law enforcement and rescue officials have been searching for 24-year-old Robert E. Steinbrecker since he went missing Dec. 27; no signs of the man have turned up.

Despite efforts by Cedarburg Fire and Rescue personnel as well as the Great Lakes Search and Rescue Team, the 24-year-old Cedarburg man who went missing in December has still not been found.

Robert E. Steinbrecker, 24, was last seen about 2 a.m. Dec. 27 running north near Cedar Creek away from two friends and toward his residence in the Town of Cedarburg, according to a press release from the sheriff's department.

"(Rescue crews) were out (Monday) again actively searching with negative results," Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office Capt. Jeffrey Taylor said. "We have no other leads as to his possible whereabouts."

In their search efforts, the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office asked area residents to look on their property for signs of the man, including areas such as outbuildings as well as sheltered and wooded areas, according to a JSOnline.com article.

Steinbrecker is described as 6 feet tall, 165 pounds, white with red shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark green, parka-style jacket, a Green Bay Packers knit hat, black tennis shoes and an off-white button-up shirt with a black T-shirt underneath.

The sheriff's office asks that if anyone has seen him, call the department at 262-284-7172 or their local law enforcement agency.
