PD: Dog Chases Deer, Car Hits Deer, Car Drives Away

Oh, to be a witness to this little incident.

Police received a call at 11:54 a.m. Thursday from a resident who witnessed a car versus deer accident the day before.

The caller said the deer ran out onto the road from the west on Franklin Street, hitting the car, according to the police reports. 

The caller said as the deer ran across the road, he noticed it was also being chased by a black dog with white spots. There were no reports of loose dogs or car versus deer accidents in the police reports.

• Room for rent? This sounds like one interesting start to a honeymoon. Police received a call at 4:33 p.m. Nov. 6 from a resident who said a suspicious man stopped at her house. The man, described as 27 to 33 years of age, around 6-foot-10-inches tall, wearing a knit cap and zipper jacket with multiple face piercings and also operating an older, maroon, 4-door vehicle with a loud exhaust and visible dent, went to the residence to ask "if he and his soon-to-be wife could rent out rooms in the home for their upcoming wedding," the police reports said. It's looking like she said, "No."
• 911 problem: Police recieved a misdialed 911 call at 5:02 p.m. Nov. 5, from Aurora Medical Clinic, 1475 W. Grand Ave. This is the seventh misdial in the last three months from that location.
• I warned you: Police responded to a 911 call at 7:06 p.m. Nov. 5. The caller, a 20-year-old woman, said she was in an argument with her boyfriend and threatened to call 911 — but didn't actually mean to. She was warned for misuse of the 911 emergency service.
