PD: Ex-Girlfriend Calls Cops on Ex-Boyfriend for Drunken Driving
A 32-year-old Saukville man faces charges for operating while intoxicated after driving behind his ex-girlfriend after drinking.
A 32-year-old Saukville man faces a 2nd-offense drunken driving charge after following his ex-girlfriend while driving drunk.
Scott Philp was charged Friday in Ozaukee County Circuit Court with 2nd-offense operating while intoxicated and 2nd-offense operating with a prohibited alcohol content and faces $2,200 in fines as well as up to 1 year imprisonment. He may also lose his license for up to 3 years.
Officers received a call at 2:42 a.m. Dec. 29 in the area of North Mill Street and State Highway 33 about a possibly intoxicated driver, according to the criminal complaint. The caller was Philp's ex-girlfriend, who said Philp had been following her and she believed he was drunk.

Officers made contact with Philp in the Beck's Exon parking lot, the complaint said. He addmitted to drinking but said he had stopped at about 8 p.m. earlier that evening. The officer conducted field sobriety tests which showed his "ability to follow directions was impaired."Β
A preliminary breathalizer test showed a .10 blood alcohol content, the complaint said. A blood test later confirmed that number.

Philp had been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol in September 2004 in New York. He is set to make an initial appearance in Ozaukee County Court at 8 a.m. May 14.
