One resident's attempt at a "yard sale" ended in a call to the police.

Port Washington police responded to a call at 3:30 p.m. May 16 in the 1400 block of West Grand about a vehicle parked on a homeowner's lawn with a "For Sale" sign, according to a police report. This is against city ordinance.

Police spoke to the 59-year-old resident, who said the vehicle belonged to her son who was at work, the report said. The resident would tell her son to move it when he got home.
