PD: Failure to Yield Causes 4-Car Crash on Hwy 33

A 26-year-old Random Lake man was cited in the accident that occurred in the town of Saukville on Wednesday morning; on Tuesday, he had been issued a citation for speeding.

A crash in the town of Saukville on Wednesday morning involving four vehicles resulted in minor injuries.

Adam Leavitt, 26 of Random Lake, was cited for failure to yeild, causing injury in the crash that occurred at the intersection of County Highway I and State Highway 33, according to a press release from the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Leavitt had been driving west on Hwy. 33 and attempted to turn left onto Hwy. I, turning in front of an eastbound vehicle, the release said. The two vehicles collided, and then struck two more vehicles.

"Minor injuries were reported and several occupants were transported to local hospitals," the release said.

On Tuesday, Leavitt had been issued a citation for speeding 16-19 MPH over the limit, according to the Wisconsin Court System Circuit Court Access website.
