PD: Car Smeared With Smoked Fish, And No Suspects to Blame

A roundup of recent activity from the police reports also includes a drunk and passed out bicyclist as well as improper use of 911.

Something is fishy about this situation — and quite literally, actually.

A 48-year-old Port Washington resident called police at 7:33 a.m. April 30 to report vandalism to his car, according to police reports. While parked on Nautica Drive, the vehicle had been smeared with smoked fish, and vulgar images were drawn with white marker.

There are no suspects at this time.

  • Drunk (and passed out) in public: He was a long way from home when Port Washington police officers noticed this 54-year-old Waukesha man at 6:35 p.m. April 30. The officer observed the man drinking a can of beer near the bike trail at Park and Chestnut streets, according to police reports. The department had received two additional calls about this same man drunk and passed out on Sunset Road. He was cited for consuming intoxicants in a public way and was moved along.
  • 911 is for emergencies — say what? A 22-year-old Cedarburg woman was warned regarding the proper use of 911 at 11:11 a.m. Friday when she called the number while parked outside the Ozaukee County Justice Center in hopes of getting a copy of accident report.
