Police Searching for Man Who Tried to Get Young Girl in Car

The unidentified man approached a 13-year-old female in Fredonia and several times asked her to get in his car; police say the man is about 70 years old, with grayish-white hair and was driving a black car with chrome around the windows.

Police are seeking information about a man driving in Fredonia on Wednesday after a 13-year-old female reported he wouldn't stop asking her to get in his car.

At about 10:25 a.m. Wednesday, the 13-year-old told police she was approached by an unidentified man driving a midsize to large black car with chrome trim on the windows, according to a press release from the .

The girl was walking alone, and the man asked if she wanted a ride; she declined. The man asked several times, and she continued to decline. Eventually, he opened his passenger door and asked again. The girl threatened to call police and the man drove off.

"The male subject is described as an older white male, approximately 70 years old, grayish/white hair, larger in size, dark circles under his eyes, wearing a polo shirt (unknown color)," according to the release.
