Port High Teen Faces Sexual Assault Charges

Police say the suspect, 17, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl he was dating in August.

A 17-year-old Saukville boy is accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl inside his home in August.

Douglas M. Yanko is to have "no contact with any females under age of 18 with the exception of during the course of the school day at Port Washington High School," as a condition of his $5,000 cash bond, according to court records.

Yanko was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Nov. 14 with one count of repeated sexual assault of a child. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On Nov. 9, Saukville police officers met with the victim who said she was dating Yanko in August when on one occasion she was in his home in the 200 block of South Colonial Parkway and he got on top of her and began to touch her breast. He asked to have sex, but she said no, so Yanko pulled down her pants and rubbed his genitals on hers until his mother called him upstairs for something.

Later that day a similar incident took place in Yanko’s bedroom where she again refused to have sex with him, but he did the same thing, the complaint said.

Yanko is set to appear in court for a status hearing at 9 a.m. Dec. 21.

This isn't surprising but he should have no private contact with ANY minors, not just females. The system is naive to think it's limited to females just because that's how he was caught. And he shouldn't have a dog.

This whole thing was bullshit. Even the girl, who I know personally, admitted that it never happened. So before you judge get your facts straight.

I think she should have left not stayed there. It's her fault being with older boys.

@mizo-anaya...why didn't you testify and then tell the truth to his lawyers? He will end up in adult prison for 9 years on the accusations made by a girl lying because she was afraid to admit the truth to her parents or authorities?!!!!

Even at 17 a males mentality is probably closer to a 14 year old girl. they were dating and only 4 years apart. she may have been scared to tell her parents the truth. kids are human and experiencing a rage of hormones. apparently there was no intercourse so he didn't rape her. all the parents even her parents should be held accountable for her dating him, being in his BEDROOM! NOT SEND A CHILD TO AN ADULT PRISON!!!! The DOC will mess him up worse, he will not come out a better person but, more messed up and corrupted!

the laws are as stupid as the DA's and judges that are suppose to interpret them! This wasn't rape! She was there by her own free will as he and he was driven by natural hormones still going through puberty he's tried as an adult?!!!! this is whats wrong with the injustice system. does he need counseling? YES!! prison? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Morons incharge once again!!
