Port Man Facing Drug Charges After Passing Out at Grafton Intesection

A Port Washington man is facing multiple charges after a Grafton police officer found him passed out behind the wheel of a car at an intersection with a bag of marijuana in plain view.

William T. Long, 24, was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Jan. 23 with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana, two counts of possession of an illegally obtained prescription and one count of possession of a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 4-1/2 years in prison and $11,500 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

A Grafton police officer spotted Long, 4590 Kay K Rd., passed out behind the wheel of his car around 2 a.m. Jan. 22 at the intersection of Beech Street and 11th Avenue. The officer noticed marijuana sitting in plain view and after Long was taken out of the car, a bag of the drug was found on the driver’s seat.

Long was then arrested for first offense operating while intoxicated and while being searched by police they found a heat sealed pack containing pills of Adderall, Alprazolam, Trazadone and Seroquel.

Long is free on a $1,000 signature bond while awaiting trial, which is scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 21.
