Port PD: Grafton Woman Steals from W.J. Niederkorn Library

A roundup of recent activity from the police blotter also includes problems with dog feces as well as the theft of a donation jar.

Apparently her years on this earth have yet to teach her that things from the library are free.

Police visited the W.J. Niederkorn Library at 4:18 p.m. Sept. 4 after a staff called police about an attempted theft.

The 61-year-old Grafton woman had concealed DVDs available at the library in her purse.

She was issued a citation for theft.

Animal poo: Maybe some day these four-legged friends will learn how to use the toilet, but — until then — issues like these are sure to surface. At 4:09 p.m. Sept. 3, a 74-year-old Sheboygan man was issed a citation after an officer watched him not pick up after his dog in the area of West Grand Avenue and North Montgomery Street. At 11:27 a.m. Thursday, a 59-year-old Port man called about a neighbor's dog in the 200 block of West Grand Avenue who often poops on his property. The owner of that dog was warned.
Who stole the ... entire donation jar? Police responded to a call at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday from that the donation jar had been stolen from the business. There are no suspects at this time.
