Port PD: Stolen Marina Golf Cart Ride May End in Charges for 2 Men, Driver Still Uknown

A roundup of recent activity from the police blotter also includes a stolen mailbox and some playground bullies.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt — or arrested.

At 1:35 a.m. Saturday, two Milwaukee men, ages 32 and 34, were arrested after taking a Port Washington Marina golf cart without permission, according to Port Washington police reports.

Both men admitted they had taken a little ride on the cart until arriving in the parking lot behind Schooner Pub, but, according to the report, neither man would provide the name of the person who had been driving it.

Port police sent a request for theft charges against both men to the District Attorney's office, the report said.

More from the reports:

  • You've got (no) mail: A Port Washington resident reported her mailbox was stolen from her residence on Pierre Lane at 1:21 p.m. Saturday.
  • Playground bullies: Police responded to a call at 12:48 p.m. Oct. 1 about two boys, estimated to be about 10-years-old, who were being mean and making other kids leave Kolbach Park. According to police reports, the boys were telling other kids that "the park belongs to them, and then kids in the park are intimidated into leaving the park." Police spoke with the boys' father, and he told police if his sons were, in fact, involved it wouldn't happen again.
