Port PD: Call About Possible Drunk People a False Alarm

Sometimes perhaps Wisconsinites are a little too presumptive of this state's behaviors.

Port Washington police received a call at 1:56 p.m. Saturday about two people standing in the roadway — possibly intoxicated.

Upon arrival, they found two boys at the corner of Beutel and Lakeview talking on the sidewalk. They said they had been in the road, but had moved off the street.

They were not drinking alcohol — but had McDonald's shakes.

• An inkling to sleep under the stars: At 2:57 a.m. Saturday, police noticed three teens walking through Lower Lake Park carrying duffle bags and backpacks. Police asked the 16-year-old and two 17-year-old boys of Milwaukee what they were up to, and they responded that they were planning to go and sleep on the beach. The 16-year-old was cited for violating curfew and all three were warned about being in the park after hours.
• That's not you? If you're going to use a fake ID, you really shouldn't draw attention to yourself — unless the goal is getting caught, like this 20-year-old Port woman. Police received a call at 12:28 a.m. Aug. 26 from bar staff at Foxy’s Tavern, 219 N. Franklin St. about a woman using a possible fake ID and causing problems. When police arrived, they found she, in fact, was using a fake ID as well as another 20-year-old Port woman. One was cited for underage possession/consumption of alcohol and misrepresentation of age by uunderage person to receive alcohol and the other was cited for underage possession/consumption of alcohol as well as underage person on licensed premise.
