Port Police Report: Cops Escort Shopko Employee After He's Fired

A roundup of the latest activity from the police blotter.

While its understandable that jobs are hard to come by, a move like this really isn't going to help build positive references.

A 32-year-old Plymouth man was escorted from the Shopko Express, 1011 N. Wisconsin St., at 3:55 p.m. Feb. 27. 

The man, a Shopko Express employee, was refusing to return store property and vacate the building after being terminated.

  • What did you just say? Police visited the at 7:37 a.m. Wednesday after learning of a situation between a 18-year-old girl and 16-year-old girl, both of Saukville, as well as a 17-year-old Fredonia girl. One of the girls had used vulgar language towards anothter. The students were warned that future similar behavior would result in a citation. What was it your mother alwasy said? If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
  • Missing your two wheels? An employee of Drews True Value Hardware called police at 11:32 a.m. Friday about a men's 10-speed bike that had been locked to a post outside the store for several days. Police now have the bike at the department for safe keeping. Wonder how that guy got home?
  • Not the target:  Who knows what they were shooting at, but someone ended up hitting the front window of a building at 326 N. Franklin St. A 62-year-old Port man called police at 11:50 a.m. Friday to the building to report a hole in the window from a pellet gun. The man believed it happened in the last few weeks.
