Port Police Report: S'mores Anyone? Teen Plays With Fire in Park

A roundup of the latest activity from the police blotter also includes a friendly dog and a teen drunk at school.

Summer may be on its way out, but bonfire season is still in full swing β€” and this teen decided it was OK to join in wherever the mood hit.

Port police recieved calls at 5 p.m. Friday about a group of juveniles playing with fire under the trees in .

When police arrived, only one 15-year-old Port Washington boy remained. He was cited for prohibited open fire.

  • Booze for breakfast? It's always five o'clock somewhere, but maybe it best not be when you're in the classroom. Police recieved a call at 8:47 a.m. Thursday from about a 15-year-old Saukville boy who seemed to be intoxicated β€” while on school property. The boy was cited for underage consumption and possession of tobacco, and was referred to the juvenile courts for disorderly conduct charges.
  • He's just being friendly: Something about that other dog must have had this one "stuck like glue," as the song goes. Police recieved a call at 6:38 p.m. Sept. 13 about a dog in the 100 block of Crocker Avenue that was continually crossing the street to approach the caller and his dog. The owner of the street-crossing dog, a 64-year-old Port Washington man, was warned about his dog being loose.
