  • Move on, already: When it's over — it's over. Police recieved a complaint that an ex-boyfriend was making numerous unwanted phone calls to his ex-girlfriend and new boyfriend. The 20-year-old Port Washington man was told told not to contact the ex. Shouldn't that have been clear when she said it was over?
  • Well, at least she uses her library card: The W. J. Niederkorn Library's stock is currently short 83 items — all because one woman checked them out. The library reported to police at 1:29 p.m. Thursday that 83 items, including books and DVDs, had been checked out by the woman in September and still were not returned. The library has been unable to contact the woman. Police spoke with her father in Port, and learned she has moved to Milwaukee. Her father said he would let her know to return the items. According to the Ozaukee Press, the woman will soon be facing theft charges for her unreturned items, and unpaid $1,868 fine.
  • Messing with mother nature: Several city-owned trees in the 1500 block of North Wisconsin Street were found to be broken at 5 a.m. Saturday. Police have no suspects, and the report of the damage was sent to City Hall. Maybe the same guy trying to climb into the house earlier that morning tried to instead make a tree fort for shelter? We may never know.
