Port Washington Police Report: Dog Dials 911

The following arrest information was supplied by the Port Washington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Port Washington police spoke to a woman in the 600 block of Holden Street at 2:11 p.m. May 18 after receiving a 911 phone call from the area.

The 41-year-old Port Washington woman said her dog had accidentally dialed the emergency line while inside her vehicle.

The dog was warned not to do this again.

  • Leggo my iPod: Port Washington police received a call from a 48-year-old Port Washington woman at 9:31 p.m. May 18 from her home in the 100 block of Portview Drive. The woman said her 12-year-old son was out of control and had run out of the home after she removed an inappropriate song from his iPod. The son was warned for disorderly conduct.
  • Shhh! The baby's sleeping! Police responded to a call of a disturbance in the 400 block of West Oakland Avenue at 9 a.m. May 19. A 33-year-old Port Washington woman was found to have been intoxicated and making a lot of noise, causing a baby and the landlord living downstairs from her to wake up. The woman was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Good Samaritan out there? Port Washington police received a call about a missing money clip at 7:45 p.m. May 19. Its owner had been at . The clip is brown, very worn and had “The Bog” golf course printed on it; it was holding a driver’s license, library card, bank card and cash.  If found please bring to the police department so the owner can be contacted.
  • It's getting hot in here: The Port Washington Fire Department responded to a dumpster fire at 1610 Aster St. at 5:20 p.m. Friday. The department was able to distinguish the fire.
