Port Washington Police Report: Lost Keys Lead to Warrant Arrest

A roundup of the latest activity from the police blotter.

Port Washington police recieved a call at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday about four people sleeping in a vehicle near the corner of East Jackson Street and Lake Street.

Police stopped by the car to find a 19-year-old West Bend woman, 20-year-old West Bend man, 24-year-old West Bend man and a 19-year-old Hartland man sleeping inside.

They learned from the group that they had lost their keys on the beach, and were waiting for morning light to look for them.

The 24-year-old was subsequently arrested for outstanding warrants through Dodge County Sheriff Department and the West Bend Police Department.

  • Tagging along: A large golden-colored retriever had followed a group of juveniles to their home in the 100 block of Bley Parkway at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday. The dog had followed the group from the area of West Grand Avenue and Portview Drive, and its green, multi-colored nylon collar had no tags. It was taken to the Ozaukee Humane Society.
  • Bonfire Bonanza:  Police recieved a complaint of loud noises at 10 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of West Michigan Street. Police visited the residence of the 26-year-old Port man who was sitting around a fire with a group of friends. They told police they would keep the noise down.
