Saukville Man Allegedly Steals Car, Drives to Milwaukee Crack House

Residents told police their daughter's boyfriend stole their 1992 Honda Accord before driving it to a North Avenue crack house.

A 25-year-old Saukville man is facing charges after he allegedly stole his girlfriend’s parent’s car so he could get to a crack house in Milwaukee.

Jeremy A. Brandt was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Tuesday with one count of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. If convicted, he faces up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

At 5 a.m. Monday, a couple living in the 500 block of Hillcrest Court woke up to find their 1992 Honda Accord was missing from the driveway; they suspected their daughter’s boyfriend, Brandt, had taken the car. The couple then drove down to a crack house on North Avenue in Milwaukee where they found Brandt and the car.

They took the car and Brandt back to Saukville and called police. Brandt admitted to taking the car and not having permission to do so.

He will appear in Ozaukee County Court at 10 a.m. July 19.

What's going on Ozaukee County, Between the molestation and drug abuse. Looks like the community is losing control.

Seems like there must be more going on with the family when their first thought is to point fingers at their daughter's boyfriend..and then drive to a crack house to track him down! How did they know the location of the crack house?

Thanks, thahab! I thought the exact thing about the longitude/lat of the crack house! I certainly don't know these things, but I do know my north side (of Port Washington) neighborhood has gone to hell. I should ask one of my neighbors or Heritage employees!

One more question - why did they drive the boyfriend back before reporting him to the authorities? Especially if their plan was to turn him in? Drawing the authorities attention to the alleged crack house by reporting a stolen vehicle could have killed two birds with one stone.

That's because gobs of Milwaukee trash keep moving here. Not to mention some communities are blessed with Illinois retards moving in also.

Do Crack Houses now register someplace? Why was this loser not arrested, along with everybody else, in the crack house. What of the "parents" daughter? 25 yrs old, at a minimum hanging with crack heads and living at home....WOW would have never seen a problem brewing there!

More than likely the boyfriend has a long history of drug abuse and "borrowing" cars without permission and has been to the crack house in question so many times that the family probably suspected him and where he woud be and how to get there when there car turned up missing. I suspect that the parents and the girlfriend have given him many chances in the past when he's borrowed the car or gone to do crack and they hoped to help him without outside intervention. Oftentimes the family enables the addict until they have no choice but to turn him in for his own good. Perhaps they were afraid to be shot at the crack house if they called the police to the location on the spot. That would have actually endangered lives. Drugs are everywhere, not just Milwaukee County and crack and heroine are a growing epidemic in every county!

You are hearing about it now due to increased awareness. These things are not new. Ozaukee trash is worse with naivete, better cars and access to cash....
No one has mentioned public housing. A contributor?

Barbara, I couldn't have said it better. We aren't just talking about a crackhead. He is someones brother, son, uncle, etc. So everyone who jumps up to judge this young man and the family he was staying with should reflect on what they post before hitting submit.
