Sentencing Postponed for Stelling

Ann Stelling, the woman accused of hitting a cyclist last fall, will be sentenced later this month.

Sentencing for Ann Stelling, the motorist who struck a cyclist last September has been postponed until June 15.

Stelling’s attorney Perry Lieuallen requested that the date be pushed back because Stelling has yet to receive a hearing for one of her three charges: operating while intoxicated and causing injury.  Lieuallen requested that sentencing for all three charges be performed at one time.

She has already been charged with felony bail jumping after violating the terms of her bond.  Under the restrictions, Stelling was required to pass daily breath tests, however twice she failed.

Although Judge Paul Malloy told Lieuallen that it seemed that his client was “wanting to avoid this matter,” he granted Stelling a later court date.
