Several Port Residents Report Thefts from Autos

Several Port Washington residents have reported items stolen from their vehicles in the last couple weeks, and suspects have yet to surface in any of the thefts.

Police responded to a call at 6:10 a.m. May 17 in the 200 block of East Pierron Street. A 35-year-old Port Washington woman said her car had been left in the driveway overnight, unlocked.

Several personal items were missing.

Also on May 17, police visited a 50-year-old Port Washington man at 4:30 p.m. who reported that an amplifier and subwoofer were stolen from his son's car parked in the 1100 block of North Holden Street. The man was unsure whether the car was locked.

The items were found the next day in the wooded area near the soccer fields at , 1403 N. Holden St.

Items were also reported missing at 1:30 p.m. May 9 in the 1000 block of North Benjamin Street. A 32-year-old Port Washington man said his GPS and $20 in change were taken from his vehicle overnight, which was parked unlocked in the driveway at his house.

North Holden Street and North Benjamin Street parallel each other only several city blocks distance apart. East Pierron Street parallels North Benjamin after crossing Wisconsin Street.
