Sheriff's Office Adds Crime Alert System

Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office is running a trial period on the digital crime alert platform.

Residents are welcome to join the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office in a 45-day trial for a digital crime alert system.

The Wisconsin Crime Alert Network sends messages via e-mail, text or fax for crime alerts, amber alerts and missing person alerts.

"This is a great way for our citizens and business to received timely crime information," Sheriff Maury Straub said, "and help us identify crime suspects and apprehend them."

People interested can sign up for the 45-day trial online. After that, the service cost $12 per year.
