Shoplifter With Synthetic Drugs Faces Felony Charges

Port Washington woman facing charges after she's caught with K2 in her purse while shoplifting from Walmart in Saukville.

A 26-year-old Port Washington woman is facing felony charges after she got caught shoplifting from while carrying synthetic marijuana in her purse.

Leslie E. Kesterson, 526 W. Michigan St., was charged in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Nov. 22 with one count of possession of synthetic cannabinoid, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of retail theft. If convicted, she faces up to four years in prison and $20,500 in fines.

Kesterson was caught by security on Nov. 21 while trying to shoplift from Walmart.  While going through her purse, personnel found a pipe and K2, otherwise known as synthetic marijuana. After police arrived, she admitted the drug was hers and said it was OK because the product is legal in all states, however, the officer informed her the in Wisconsin.

Kesterson is free on a $250 signature bond while awaiting trial.
