Suicides at Ozaukee County Jail Under Investigation
Authorities are taking a closer look at two inmate suicides that took place last month at the Ozaukee County Jail.
Two suicides that occurred within a seven-day period last month at the Ozaukee County Jail are under investigation.
Inmate Sonia Mojica, 42, died on June 22 after being on life support for six days following an apparent suicide attempt. And on June 9, Bridget Moorehead, 41, also died in the jail of an apparent suicide.
The Journal Sentinel is reporting that the two suicides are being investigated by Ozaukee County sheriff's office detectives. Their report will be reviewed by the state Department of Corrections and the Washington County sheriff's office, the newspaper reported.
