Whoops, That's Not the Brakes
Driver crashes into salt pallets after pressing the wrong pedals.
Hopefully the salt made for a soft landing after this minor traffic accident in Port.
An 85-year-old woman was in the parking lot at Drews True Value at 5:28 p.m. Sept. 14, according to police reports. As she was nearing to stop in the parking stall, she accidentally pressed the gas again instead of the brakes.
The car then accelerated up the sidewalk, the report said, crashing into pallets of salt.
