Woman's Sexual Assault Accusations Against Port Man Don't Add Up

Charges dismissed after investigation leads officials to question alleged victim's story.

An Ozaukee County judge has dismissed a case of an alleged sexual assault incident that occurred in Mequon involving a .

Jeremy J. Unti, 25, has been cleared of any charges after subsequent investigation lead law enforcement to question that the woman had not consented to the actions that occurred, according to District Attorney Adam Gerol.

"There was subsequent police investigation that lead to information that contradicted what the victim originally told us," Gerol said.

He said there are generally two parts to a case like this: whether it occurred and whether there was consent. Gerol said the evidence did not make it appear as if the act occurred against the woman's will.

The case was dismissed on Monday.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of a business near Mequon Road and Port Washington Road in Mequon, where the two met to exchange their child.
