Woman Throws Water on Dog Owner for Leaving Pet in Car Too Long, Police Say

The woman felt the dog was left in the car too long, and the owner ended up with water on him.

A woman upset that a dog might die if left in the car much longer eventually confronted the pet's owner about the issue.

Police responded to the incident at 4:10 p.m.Β in the 1400 block of West Grand Avenue, according to police reports. A 43-year-old woman had been in a verbal argument with a 21-year-old man regarding his dog β€” whom she felt was left unattended in the car for too long.

Police reports did not have details about how long the dog was in the car, but said the woman told police she waited outside for several minutes for the owner to come out; when the owner did not, she grew concerned the dog may die, and because she had water bowls with her decided to fetch something for the dog to drink.

The owner then came outside, and he told police at that time the woman started yelling at him about leaving his dog in the car, the report said. The man told the woman he hadn't expected to be in the clinic as long as he was; the woman eventually threw water at the dog owner.
