Woman's Pic Posted to Dating Site Without Permission

It seems whoever was recruiting for "models" was apparently doing so with an alternative motive.

A 24-year-old Port Washington woman called police at 12:48 p.m. Dec. 18 to make them aware of the situation involving pictures of herself.

The woman told police she had sent her photos to an online modeling website, and now her pictures appeared on an online dating website.

Police advised the woman of ways to protect her identity.

• Hard at work: Port Washington police received a call at 12:45 a.m. Dec. 19 from a resident complaining of a construction worker still pounding in the 300 block of North Frankline Street. Police contacted the construction worker and warned him of his behavior; the man said he would stop.
• Hide and seek, 911 style? Police responded to a hang up 911 call at 3:22 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East Whitefish Road. There, a 37-year-old Port woman answered the door and told police her children had been playing with the phone and must have accidentally dialed. Officers spoke to an warned one of the children about the misdial; the other child hid and wouldn't come out. The mother was told future misdials would result in citations.
