60-Unit Apartment Plans Approved for East Sauk Road, Harris Drive

The Port Washington Plan Commission approved a proposal including five buildings with a mix of one- and two-bedroom units.

The Port Washington Plan Commission is apparently happy with updated plans for a 60-unit apartment development on the northwest corner of East Sauk Road and Harris Drive after originally meeting the project with some opposition.

The commission approved the updated proposal by Premier Real Estate Development — which includes exterior aesthetic changes as well as more landscaping and less asphalt — during its meeting on Thursday.

"This developer has a very good track record and his company's projects have been well received in other communties," City Planner Randy Tetzlaff wrote in a report to the commission. "Quite frankly, he was not too pleased by some of the comments made and the overall tone of the (first meeting, when the plans were denied.)"

The development includes five buildings with a mix of one- and two-bedroom units. .
