DMV Adds Almost 2 Hours Per Week at Service Centers

State DMV offices that are open five days a week will have regular hours and stay open almost two hours more per week.

Starting after Labor Day, state residents will get almost two more hours of service at their local Department of Motor Vehicles office.

The DMV operates 29 five-day service centers and until now, the hours have fluctuated so the centers were open late one day and opened earlier another day.

As of Sept. 3, five-day service centers will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday thru Friday, an increase of almost two hours of availability per week, for a total of 41.25 hours

“Currently, our five-day centers open early on one week day and stay open late on another,"said Bureau of Field Services Director Donna Brown-Martin in a written statement from the DMV. "Consistent hours will make it much easier for our customers to remember, and that is important to us.”
