DMV Employees Get 4-Day Weekend

Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles offices will be closed for another furlough on Friday, and also for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday.

Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles offices will be closed on Friday for the last of 16 furlough days required by the 2009-11 state budget, according to a press release from the Department of Transportation.

Most state offices will also be closed on Monday in observation of Memorial Day, the release said. The DMV’s automated phone system will remain available so that motorists can still make road test appointments and have access to recorded information.

Titling and registration services are offered by many third-party partners such police stations, grocery stores and financial institutions around the state; find a place near you by visiting the WisDOT website.
