Emergency Training Brings Port Harbor to Life

Numerous government agencies visited Port Washington on Thursday to participate in the Department of Homeland Security's maritime emergency training exercise.

Federal, state, county, regional and local government agencies took to the waters of the Port Washington marina on Thursday for training on emergency scenarios.

The Department of Homeland Security's training exercise involved drug trafficking by boat, air operations, a dive team, a bomb squad and a hazmat team.
