Community Street Festival Part 2

The street festival, which was largely rained out in May, will again close Franklin Street in downtown from noon to 5 p.m.

Dante’s Bop will perform at the north end of Franklin Street from noon to 4 p.m. and Vinyl Groove on the south end from 1 to 5 p.m. The bands will alternate breaks so music will fill the street throughout the festival.

The Disney princesses and the Little Princess Boutique will return from 1 to 4 p.m. outside Biever Travel, this time with more hairdressers to transform girls into lovely ladies in waiting. They may then have their pictures taken with the princesses in front of a larger castle than was at the
original festival, Grover said.

Children’s activities, including the Kiwanis chalk drawing, will return, as will free sailboat rides by members of the Port Washington Yacht Club. A shuttle bus will pick people up at the corner of Franklin and Washington streets to bring them to the marina for the rides.
