Last Chance to Ditch that Christmas Tree

Port Washington will pick up any trees left curbside on Monday, Tuesday.

It's almost been a month since Christmas and, believe it or not, there are still some people who have their Christmas trees up (Patch Local Editor Lyssa Beyer included).

Luckily, for Port residents, there's still time to get rid of that Christmas tree curbside.

Judy Klumb, administrative secretary for Port Washington, said workers will pick up any tree left on the curb area between the sidewalk and the road on Monday and Tuesday this week. All ornaments, lights, tree stands, tree bags, garland, hooks, etc., must be removed from the Christmas Trees.
