March Snow Sends Road Crews To Work Again

Ozaukee County in a Winter Weather Advisory until 6 p.m.

Road crews started moving at 5 a.m. to tackle the heavy, wet flakes falling in this March snowfall.

Port Washington Street Comissioner Dave Ewig said the crew had completed salting the city roads as of about 8:15 a.m., and were planning to start plowing efforts.

The National Weather Service puts Ozaukee County in a Winter Weather Advisory, effective until 6 p.m. Wednesday. The advisory calls for 3 to 4 inches of wet snow accumulations.

"The wet snow will cause snow covered and slippery roads," the advisory said.
