Poll: Do You Shop in Downtown Port?

Businesses have come and gone from Port Washington's downtown over the years, and Fair Trade for All might be the next one out.

It only moved in in June, but owners of the chain are worried the business might have to leave its Port Washington location because of a lack of, well — business.

"Our new store in Shorewood is outperforming Port by 10 to 1,"co-owner Allen Christian said on Facebook. "No kidding! And we didn't even do any single advertisement. If people want us to stay in Port, they'll have to show us their support. ... If we keep on making $10 a day, by end of December we're out and we'll never return back to Port as a business. We will move and invest in a community that value our services and mission."

Fair Trade for All sells gifts, clothing and treats that provide the producer with a fair, living wage and a safe work environment, co-owner Gail Bennett-Christian .
