Port Common Council Welcomes Mayor Mlada

Newly elected Port Washington Mayor Tom Mlada joins aldermen David Larson, Douglas Biggs and Paul Neumyer for their oath of office.

Port Washington Mayor Tom Mlada lead his first Common Council meeting Tuesday night .

"I just want to take this opportunity to first and foremost β€” to publicly recognize (former Mayor Scott Huebner and former Ald. Burt Babcock) for their service, and … extend to every member of the council tonight how excited I am to be working alongside each one of you," Mlada said during the meeting. "I firmly believe that we are charged with making a great city even greater. ... I believe we have the rare opportunity to take our great city and make it exceptional."

Mlada joined newcomer Ald. Douglas Biggs, as well as incumbents Ald. David Larson and Ald. Paul Neumyer during the oath of office, admininstered by City Adminstrator Mark Grams.
