A town of Saukville resident concerned with speeding on Hillcrest Road as vehicles leave the village is unhappy with police response to the issue.

Hillcrest Road resident Paul Dudzek told village officials that he and other residents are worried about speeding vehicles through their neighborhood, according to an Ozaukee Press article. The resident had already presented his concerns to the town of Saukville officials, after which time the Saukville Police Department did send a patrol car out to radar gun the traffic.

Residents said the speed should be reduced from 55 mph to 35 mph as the road transitions from village to town.

Vehicles were only ticketed if they reached 35 mph in the 25 mph zone, Dudzek said, according to the article. Duzek argued that comparatively this would mean allowing vehicles to travel 47.6 mph in a 35 mph zone.
