Limited Edition Takes Third in International Competition

Port Washington High School’s a capella group Limited Edition returned from the Varsity Vocals International High School A Cappella championship in New York with a third place win.

"It went very well, amazing weekend for them educationally and all," Choral teacher Dennis Gephart said.

Port High Student Joe Holtan of Limited Edition also walked away with an individual award for "outstanding arrangement" for his performance in "Not Over You." See all the weekend's results here.

The at the Midwest semifinal competition in DeKalb, IL, earning this weekend's trip to New York. In 2010, Limited Edition took first place at that international competition. Last year,  from the Midwest competion.

The Varisty Vocals is the only international tournament that showcases the art of student a cappella singing, according to its website.
