Meet Port-Saukville School District's New Staff Members

Nearly two dozen new teachers are filling the classrooms at local schools.

The kicked off the school with a record number of new faces to fill positions vacated after .

“It has been a very fast summer, and an exciting summer as well. It’s just so invigorating to spend uninterrupted time just focusing on hiring great people to add to our already great staff,” Superintendent Michael Weber said.

The district hired 29 new staff members, 22 of whom are teachers. There is also one new administrator and one supervisor, and the of the new hires are custodial and food service employees.

New teachers, administrators and supervisors include:

  • Adam Allen, eighth-grade teacher at ;
  • Joe Belknap, communications teacher at ;
  • Gentry Tetschlag, kindergarten teacher at ;
  • Lindsay LaBlonde, first-grade teacher at Dunwiddie;
  • Sandy Sandlin, seventh-grade teacher at Jefferson; 
  • Andrea Albrecht-Dimmer, library media specialist for and Jefferson;
  • Ann Kielisch, second-grade teacher at ;
  • Jocelyn Jackett, kindergarten teacher at Lincoln;
  • Michelle Uttke, communications teacher at the high school;
  • Leann Wellenstein, business education teacher at the high school; 
  • Sabrina Jerome, special education (autism) teacher at Lincoln; 
  • Beth Brinkman, German teacher at the high school;
  • Terese Banasik, special education teacher at Lincoln;
  • Karen Wrubbel-Kunschke, special education/physical education teacher at Lincoln;
  • Michael Thomley, ;
  • Steve Guthrie, facilities and operations supervisor for the district;
  • Alan Dust, instrumental music teacher at the high school;
  • Matt Zwaschka, physical education teacher for the both high school and the middle school;
  • Paul Scharnweber, special education teacher at the high school;
  • Rick Reinders, AP psychology/social studies teacher at the high school;
  • Melissa Yanke, first-grade teacher at Lincoln;
  • Maria Schall, reading specialist at Jefferson;
  • Allison Zeske, kindergarten teacher at Lincoln;
  • Julie Norman, alternative education teacher at the high School.

Port High School Principal Eric Burke, , was part of the interviewing process and impressed with the quality of the applicants.

“I think we’re just really fortunate to have the level of teachers that want to teach in our district and in our community," he said.
