Happy Labor Day from Shop Port, Think Local

Fun things to do in Port Washington for the Labor Day weekend

As the summer comes to a close we find ourselves with one last hurrah: Labor Day weekend.  Many people use this time as their last opportunity for a family trip "up north."  Others prefer to stay local over the holiday. For those of you who choose to stay in Port we have some suggestions for local activities each day to make your weekend fun.

  1. On Friday, check out some local music (and maybe a margarita … or two) at Beanie's on Friday at 7 p.m. Mark Hubing will play on the patio as you dine.  While you’re there have some of their famous chips and salsa or any one of their tasty entrees!
  2. On Saturday get the whole family together for one last summer barbeque!  Grab some burgers and steaks from then get the rest of the fixings from .  Look for Labor Day savings and extra Pump Perks at Sentry then don’t forget to grab the marshmallows! Roast some marshmallows over the bonfire and enjoy good company into the night.
  3. On Sunday have dinner at , then check out music from Vinyl Groove.  Listen to some hits from the 60s and 70s on the patio.
  4. On Monday, you’re going to need to rest up from all of the celebrating you’ve done over the weekend!  Take in the lake views on the south beach or just hang out in the yard with family.  Heat up some leftovers from Saturday night’s cook out or pick up a pizza.

Have a safe and wonderful Labor Day weekend from everyone at
Shop Port, Think Local!
