Holiday Foods: Good or Bad?

A review of some of the limited edition holiday foods available at Sanfilippo's Sentry.

Each year there are a barrage of limited edition holiday foods available.  We at Sanfilippo's Sentry have taken the time to review several of these currently available at our store so you know whether to snatch these up or pass on them.

  • Chex Mix Muddy Buddies Peppermint Bark Flavor — our employees recommend this item.  It tastes like puppy chow with a hint of mint flavoring.  This holiday edition is a winner!
  • Chex Mix Cocoa Flavor — we got mixed reviews on this item.  The chocolate Chex pieces are okay, the pretzels with chocolate powder on them are weird, the crunchy marshmallows are what you'd find in hot chocolate mix, and there is some type of cookie/cracker piece that looks like a snail and is the best tasting piece in the bag!  This one is a toss up.  Either you'll love it or hate it.
  • Pringles Cinnamon and Sugar Flavor —  this one is a definite pass.  Everyone at the store who tried these think they are disgusting.  Pringles missed the mark on this one.  Stick to their normal flavors or you'll be disappointed.
  • Sierra Mist Cranberry — this annual favorite is always a winner. Lemon lime soda with a splash of cranberry, available in regular or diet, is always a big seller. The only complaint customers have is that it is only available during the Christmas season.

Look for these and many other holiday favorites and new products at Sanfilippo's Sentry.  If you're not sure about a product ask any of us.  There's always someone around who has tried our new products who'd be happy to let you know what they think!

Happy holidays from all of us at Sanfilippo's Sentry!
