Dieringer Wrestles Away to Oklahoma State

Dave and Cindy Dieringer prepare to send son, Alex, off to Oklahoma State for the start of his collegiate wrestling career.

Alex Dieringer, who , will head to Oklahoma State this week to start his collegiate wrestling career on a full-ride athletic scholarship.

Dieringer was heavily recruited during high school . He will "red-shirt" his first year and hopes to concentrate on his studies as he practices with the team.

Dieringer started wrestling in second grade and soon found a combination of hard work and natural talent that propelled him to many national championships, three high school state crowns and many others honors during his career.

Dieringer's older brother Andy, and younger brothers Tyler and Jordon, have all wrestled since a young age and have enjoyed very successful wrestling careers. Their parents, Cindy and Dave Dieringer, believe wrestling provides great life lessons in accomplishing goals through hard work.

They said they are excited to watch Alex as he competes at the collegiate level.
