Port Baseball Headed to Metrodome for Double Header

The Port Washington High School baseball team will face Pewaukee in a double header, but the two teams will be traveling out of state to meet.

The Port Washington High School boys varsity baseball team will be getting a special treat for its game on Saturday against Pewaukee β€” a chance to play the doubleheader in the metrodome in Minnesota.

The Port Washington Pirates have played in the metrodome before, but it has been some time, head coach Nicholas Wycklendt said.

The opportunity arose because the team the Pirates play, the Pewaukee High School team β€” whose mascot is also the Pirates β€” schedules games at the stadium regularly; this year the schedule worked out to play against Port in the far away field, Wycklendt said.
