Port Soccer Starts Off With a Win

Port Washington High School soccer team defeats Milwaukee Lutheran High School, 5-1.

The Pirates soccer team is off to a great start this season.

The Pirates thrilled the home crowd Tuesday night by defeating Milwaukee Lutheran 5-1.

Alex Bello and David Cornell lead the Pirates in goals, and B.J. LaForest stepped in for injured senior goalkeeper Mitch Lemons β€” holding the Red Knights to only one goal.

Coach Mike Bultman looks to seniors Mitch Lemons and Alex Bello to lead the Pirates this season. If the Pirate players push themselvesΒ and step up, the team will be in the running this soccer season, Bultman hopes.

The Pirates take on Homestead at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at home.
