Zach Hauser catches 68-yard throw from Taylor Davenport to spoil Knights' big night.

Port Washington topped Nicolet 34-27 in high school football at Nicolet on Friday night, scoring 20 points in the fourth quarter and leading for only the last 55 seconds of the game.

Nicolet (2-3, 0-3 North Shore Conference) got a touchdown pass and touchdown run by quarterback Brandon Kappel and a 50-yard punt return score by Tyler Crass. But Port Washington quarterback Taylor Davenport threw for three scores and ran for another to bring his team back.

The Pirates (2-3, 1-2 NSC) host Whitefish Bay next Friday, while the Knights got to winless Grafton.
