Spring Volunteering Opportunities

Spring Volunteer Opportunities and Electronic Recycling Event

Spring is the air!  Can you feel it?  Volunteer Center of Ozaukee’s Electronic Recycling annual spring event on April 5&6 will take all your old computer electronics, TV’s, microwaves and cell phones then recycle them in an earth friendly way.  It is a great way to start the spring season getting rid of the old and welcoming the new.

The Volunteer Center raises awareness of the volunteer needs of over 60 community agencies and then connects volunteers to those needs.  Community agencies could use your help getting their green spaces ready for spring.  Riveredge Earth Day Work and Learn, planting trees at Ozaukee Washington Land Trust, clearing trails at Mequon Nature Preserve, planting crops at Wellspring, helping seniors be independent at Interfaith and cleaning up senior facilities green space are a few of the volunteer opportunities that could use your volunteer time this spring. (These are great for groups and corporate volunteer plans.)

Don’t forget to bring your old electronic equipment to the Volunteer Center at 885 Badger Circle, Grafton, from 10:00 -2:00 on April 5&6.  There is a slight charge for each item to cover recycling and shipping costs:  TV’s $20, Monitors & Laptops $10, CPU’s, printers & microwaves $5.  Contact us at 262-377-1616, email vc@volunteerozaukee.org or check out our website www.volunteerozaukee.org
