My wife and I hoped to enjoy a rare date night. Mama Mia's in Port wasn't our first choice but we ended up there because the restaurant we wanted to try was closed. The service was ok, but not exceptional; the food was anything but exceptional, not even good. We started with Mama Mia's "Classic Antipasto Salad" one of their signature dishes. It consisted of iceberg lettuce, 3 slices of what looked like pepperoni, a couple sliced black olives and perhaps three peppers, topped with some shredded, apparently pre-packaged mozzarella cheese. When we commented on the "antipasto salad", our server told us, "that is how Jude (the owner) wants it" We also ordered a pepperoni pizza, hoping that the pizza would salvage the dinner. unfortunately, it too was incredibly disappointing. Crust was hard and seemed to be coated in corn meal, apparently so hard that the server couldn't even slice through it so that every piece we tried to take from the pie, ended up tearing and breaking in half. I've had much better frozen pizza than this. Again, after commenting to the server about the quality of the food, her only reply was, "that's how Jude wants it". After paying our $35 check, we stopped at PickN'Save to buy a bottle of wine to finish the evening. While there, we realized we could have purchased a nice bottle of wine and a great frozen pizza (Home Run Inn) for a fraction of what we spend at this restaurant. We will never go back and suggest that you don't waste your time or money either.

We had a Fabulous experience! We had ground beef lasagna, garlic bread, salad, soup and a glass of red wine. I expected it to be as good as previous experiences at the Milwaukee location. It WAS every bit as good. The soup and salad were good, the lasagna was very good, but the garlic bread was phantasmagorical! Took half home and enjoyed it again today! Prompt, friendly service and a peaceful atmosphere. My favorite Italian restaurant in Port!
This place has really gone downhill. The Mama Mia restaurants in Milwaukee have been one of my favorites for over 30 years. I was happy when this one opened and it was very good for awhile. Last week we ordered a pizza and garlic bread to pick up and take home. The pizza was burned- the top totally brown and black. The garlic bread was black on the edges. Even my husband who will eat just about anything couldn't eat it. The whole meal went into the garbage. That was the last time I will ever order anything from them again!!
Not very good....pizza crust is thin and graining. Fish was awful and the potato pancake were just yucky.

This was some of the worst pasta paired with the worst service I've ever had. The sauce was completely bland, and slathered on ridiculously heavy. Youd be better off buying a jar in the grocery store. Any brand...The noodles were completely overcooked and soggy. It was almost empty when we were there and took 40 minutes to get our 2 dishes, and the waitress was rude, rude, rude. Like she just coulnd't be bothered. The prices weren't good either.
