Parents ruin sports..
sportsnut July 14, 2014 at 06:39 am
Alan I agree. Parents coach to get their kids and kids friends a leg up. Kids are choosen too basedRead More on parents and kids being friends. Take AAU and All-Stars and positions in each sport. Parents coach because they want their kid in prime positions, kids are friends with certain kids or because a family does not like someone but the kid has talent not playing. You need "out of area" coaches to come and determine if a kid is "that good" to be at the next level not "locals" whom coach because that is the only way the kid will get playing time.

sportsnut: Seems like a perfect opportunity for you to get involved in coaching... If nothingRead More else, becoming a coach will give you a voice in the league to lobby for equal playing time for all kids, and rotation of positions--particularly at the lower levels.
Tickets for Friday's game against the Seattle Seahawks begin at $48.

@Steve, what is Lyle Ruble going to do with his time when the Patch goes away?
Travis Bickle August 21, 2013 at 01:14 pm
@AWD Maybe he can concentrate on work and pay off his debts

That's Keith COA. AWD, great question. He will be back to his liberal student audience until heRead More finds another useless blogging site. The best thing about Patch is his extreme liberalism was exposed and proven false, over and over. Maybe bloggingblue will take him in of they don't age discriminate. Anything goes there. Either way we still will be the producers and he will take any handout that comes his way.

Hasn't altered my opinion of Braun, but it has lowered my opinion of ESPN. Didn't they report thisRead More during spring training too? Seems pretty bad for a major news outlet to keep reporting on rumors like this. As to the allegations ... what bothers me the most is how far in the past all of this is. From what's been explained, this is all around the time of his tainted test ... nothing since then. I'd like to see the rule of double-jeopardy apply. if he flunks another test, absolutely suspend him. Without that though, the word of a guy running a shady clinic trying to avoid a lawsuit isn't very good.

What a great opportunity for the Port Pirates to play at the Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.Read More Good luck! I am, however, a little miffed as to why Patch would feature a great article about this and then show pictures from 2 seasons ago?

What a fantastic organization. I have been trying to give the children of Belize, Central America anRead More opportunity to benefit from the opportunity of having baseball available to them and Mark and his organization have committed to providing equipment for us to make this a reality. Please donate to his cause - you will be helping to put smiles on the faces of less fortunate children worldwide.

I would like to find a non-profit that would be willing to take about 75 sets of golf clubs off myRead More hands.
