'Daffodil' Among Top 3 Drinks at Java Dock

The coffee shop has a long list of beverage options, but these few are among the top choices ordered by customers.

Promoted on Java Dock Cafe's menu wall on Thursday morning, the Daffodil latte is more than just a seasonal choice. "During my 6-year run here, it's the most ordered drink I've ever had," Manage Nichole Kloss said. The Daffodil latte is flavored with Macadamia nut, caramel and Swiss chocolate. A simple cup of coffee is another regularly ordered beverage. Kloss said the shop uses Anodyne coffee, and the lightly roasted variety is very popular. The third popular drink ordered at the shop is a vanilla latte. The Chocolate Chisel has launched a hot chocolate and espresso drink bar — have you given it a try yet?

Things have been a bit liquified at The Chocolate Chisel since the addition of its hot chocolate and espresso bar, which employee Lauran Federspiel has been popular so far. The business' menu invites you to "Drink Your Truffles," with flavors such as Sea Turtle, ExperiMint and So Sublime. The Chisel uses Intelligentsia Coffee, a company based in Chicago, and customers seem to really enjoy the brand, Federspiel added. Learn more about the decision to add the drink bar. Hot, Caffeinated Chocolate Coming to the Chisel

The Chocolate Chisel in downtown Port Washington has plans to add a hot chocolate and espresso drink bar, with lots of unique flavors already in the works.

The Chocolate Chisel is taking its sweets to a new state with the addition of a hot chocolate and espresso beverage bar at the business. "We want to stand apart ... but we don't want to step on anyone's toes," employee Austin Hicks said, comparing the beverage options Chocolate Chisel will serve versus other coffee and hot drink options already available locally.  That's why, in thinking up flavors for drinks, Hicks and the Chisel crew have thought outside the "cup": the chocolates already made at the store have acted as inspiration for the flavor ideas.
